Mr. S. Iradat Hussain – Chairman
He is seasoned banker having
worked for Grindlays Bank in Karachi and Chittagong. In 1965
he joined UBL as Executive Vice President and after
nationalization became President of MCB. He also holds to
his credit being Chairman to the Middle East Bank owned by
Al-Futtaim Group of UAE.
Mr. Hasan Aziz Bilgrami - Director
Mr. Hasan A Bilgrami is the
President & Chief Executive Officer of BankIslami Pakistan
Ltd. His association with the BankIslami started as a
consultant to the sponsoring shareholders right at the
inception of the project where he was responsible for
developing the business plan, arranging permissions,
staffing and capital raising. Previously he worked as the
Head of Asset Management with the National Investment Trust
(NIT), as Country Manager Consumer Banking & Corporate
Business with Gulf Commercial Bank (now PICIC Commercial
Bank Limited) as General Manager Corporate Finance with ORIX
Investment Bank and as Director and Head of Corporate
Finance with Khalid Majid Husain Rahman, then a member firm
of Deloitte & Touche.
Mr. Bilgrami has hands on
experience in structuring Islamic modes of financing while
he was working as a Secretary of the Financial Instruments
Committee of the Islamic Finance Commission. He has also
been a Director on board of PICIC, Soneri Bank Limited,
Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited and National Refinery
Limited. He is also a Director on the Board of KSB Pumps
Limited as well as a Chairman of the Audit Committee. He has
overall 17 years of professional experience.
Mr. Bilgrami is a Fellow
member of the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of
Pakistan and also Fellow member of the Canadian Securities
Institute.
Mr. Gohar Iqbal Shaikh
A qualified Fellow member of
the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, holding
twenty (22) years work experience at high level management
position at National Development Finance Corporation (NDFC)
,Crescent Investment Bank Ltd (CIBL) ,Meezan Bank Ltd and
currently he involved in BankIslami Pakistan Limited in a
capacity of CFO and Company Secretary.
Mr. Tariq Usman Bhatti - Director
A successful business
executive and reputed name of Money Market having 25 years
experience.
Mr. Muhammad Imran
He
has done his MBA (Finance / Marketing) with Gold Medal
from Institute of Business Administration, Karachi.
Currently he is associated with BankIslami Pakistan
Ltd. as Head of Consumer Banking. He has extensive
experience in the field of Islamic Banking with successful
track record of re-launching and Heading Islamic Banking
Business at Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan
Limited. He
was the Member of Standard Chartered's Country Leadership
Team and is a Member of Governor State Bank of Pakistan's
task force on Islamic Banking. He has also been nominated
as an industry expert/visiting faculty member by Central
Bank of Malaysia's International Centre for Islamic
Economics & Finance (INCIEF), Malaysia.
Syed Mujtaba Hussain Kazmi
A qualified CFA, having more
than ten (10) years working experience at senior management
positions in SIGMA Leasing and ORIX Investment Bank. His
major contribution and achievements with different
Investment Bank and Leasing Companies in term of
transactions over the period of services are Securitization,
Debt Syndication, Lease Syndications, Trusteeship of Term
Finance Certificates (TFCs), Arranger / Advisor and Lease
Discounting. Presently he is heading the Investment Banking
Division of BankIslami Pakistan Limited.
Mr. Asad Alim
Having a Masters Degree in
Computer Sciences from FAST-NU and has expertise in areas of
IT Project and Resource Management, System Analysis,
Application Design and IT Security. Mr. Alim has over 15
years experience leading IT Functions at Multi National
Financial Institutions.
Mr. Zulfiqar Ali - Chief
Executive Officer
A qualified Cost & Management
Accountant. He is associated with Modaraba Al-Mali for last
12 years and served in various senior positions. Prior to
this position, he was serving as Chief Financial Officer and
member of the Executive Committee, responsible for day to
day operations of the Modaraba and the management company.
He is involved in investment transactions with core strength
in legal and regulatory issues and also development of new
projects for making Modaraba more profitable. He is
maintaining good relationship with clients for identifying
and creating new business proposals.
